Christmas Countdown - 1 day

This is exactly the right place for Christmas holidays! A log cabin in the center of the forest, everything is covered by a thin layer of snow and inside there is a cozy Christmas atmosphere. I imagine myself near the stone fireplace with my loved ones drinking a glass of mulled wine and having good time!

Sunday Morning Tales

Looks like the exact place where I would like to spend my Christmas holidays! A small snowy village, in the top of a mountain. Everything is calm and the only thing you can hear is the snow that is falling... I adore this feeling!

Do you like snowy scenery? Have a look here.

Christmas Countdown - 3 days

Lookig some decades back, the decoration of a boat in any home instead of the familiar to all of us, Christmas tree, was the Christmas tradition in Greece, as it is a country with a long maritime tradition. The boat symbolises the new sailing of human in life, after the birth of Christ.
About 50 years ago, we could see during Christmas a little boat decorated in almost every greek house especially in islands, or in the hands of children who said Carols in the Christmas eve. It is a tradition which has declined during the time and has been replaced by the Christmas tree, but no one seems to have forgotten it.

Christmas Countdown - 5 days

Five days until Christmas and Santa Claus' preparations are at their peak! Have you decided what gifts you will offer to your family and friends this year? There is no need to spend a lot of money so as to prove your love (especially now that the majority faces strong economic problems). The only think that really counts those days is to remember our loved ones giving them a warm hug and a smile, telling them that we will be always there, if they will need us and making them a symbolic gift. I would be so happy, if the gifts I will receive this year, would be handmade by my friends and family. I consider it, as a greater proof of love than receiving something expensive...
Here, I will show some inspired and inexpensive ideas for your gifts' wrapping which I found lately round the internet.

Christmas Countdown - 7 days

Oranges and cloves are the ultimate combination of fragrances during holidays and a perfect Christmas ornament too. Try to make some cloved oranges and enjoy their smell. It 's really fabulous!!! Imagine your own designs and then arrange them with pine cones and fragrant holiday greens on a vintage transferware plate in a bowl  or on a wreath. You can also attach a ribbon and hang them up in front of a window. Another idea is to transform them into a candleholder or finally use the oranges' peel and give them shape with a knife, as in the second photo.
