Aenaon Villas

Today is the last day of Spring but in this small part of the world we feel like summer is here since the first days of May.... So, I have already the need of a break for holidays and I am dreaming all day long of beautiful Greek islands and their magnificent beaches!!!
I would like to spend my weekend in this amazing property in Santorini gazing for hours at that breathtaking view, sunbathing and relaxing.... What do you think?

Semi Outdoor Area

My favorite space of the house... Shady during the day in order to protect you from the hot sunrays and designed in a way that allows you to create a cozy outdoor living area where you will spend a lot of hours each day during summer! I love so much to decorate those spaces with drapes and lanterns to add more romance.

Paternoster Beach Cottage

This house situated on the West Coast of South Africa immediately stole my heart!!! It is built entirely from local stone and its roof is constructed by tree trunks and canes so as to be the house's interior cool during hot days... What I love most in this house is the use of aqua in the shutters, in some furniture and in special decorative objects; It's my favorite color and I feel that it matches perfectly with stone and the natural surroundings! What do you think about it?
I wish you to have a wonderful weekend my friends!!!

Feel the Breeze

An inviting porch with an amazing sea view to spend your evenings, now that temperature is getting warmer...
I find perfect the pergola which is constructed by tree trunks and canes, ideal to filter the hot sun rays and help you feel the breeze of the sea!

Contemporary Rustic

A very interesting corner of a living room.... I like the black rustic cabinet, designed in a much more modern aspect, which is fitted perfectly with the carved rock!

Myconian Paradise

For another time we are going to Mykonos in order to see an amazing stone home which is  harmonized to its surroundings in a unique way... The home of Vangelis Tsangaris and Deborah French is perched on the rocks and let the shape of the hillside dictate the layout  of its rooms. Its design is completely different from the majority of the Myconian modern buildings which are following an angular style... Here, we find natural lines everywhere and pieces of the rock invade the space unobtracted in a way that shows that the building respects its natural surroundings! Stone walls outside with mediterranean plants to ornate them and white raw plaster inside to help the light flooded the spaces, make this home a unique summer shelter to spend your holidays in.

Mediterranean Colors

An amazing palette of  Mediterranean colors.... When the stone walls combined with cotto floor, tiles, sea blue windows and geraniums in ceramic pots constitute a dreamy scenery in the magnificent background of deep blue sea of Oitylo, in Peloponnese.

Design: Bright Beads pendant lights

Marz Designs have created a range of six pendant lights named Bright Beads which can be hung on their own as a single drop pendant or  alternatively in a cluster to create a chandelier and provide a focal point for a room.
I like them for their unique design and their timber beads in natural color that can give a special touch to every room you'll place them!!!

Happy Easter

As the weather is already as hot as in the summer, I have started daydreaming and I would like sooo much to be one of those lucky guys who will spend their Easter holidays in an island or in the country yard, combining religious duties and relaxation... However, although I will stay in Athens I will try to have a good  time seeing my loved ones, celebrating my name day and may be going for a swim!
I wish you to have a really good time whatever you do! Happy Easter!!! See you again on Tuesday....

Easter Eggs

Today, Maundy Thursday, is the day that we dye Easter eggs in deep red color as according to Orthodox tradition, symbolises the blood of Christ given for the salvation of the world! However, nowadays a lot of people use to dye eggs in different colors or transform them to a piece of art by painting them or with the method of decoupage.
This year I would like so much to dye my Easter eggs like those of the pictures below, but due to lack of time I followed the Greek tradition of red ones...
