DIY: Coasters

What about doing some craft this week? Today I found this clever & easy to make DIY project and I liked it so much that I am ready to give my cork IKEA coasters a little make-over. Some stripes, crosses or every other shape you like and in a few seconds you 'll get completely different looking coasters. Here you can find instructions on how you 'll paint your coasters.

My Handmade Wedding Story

Around before two months it was my best day of my life... My wedding! My husband and I, we had decided to celebrate our wedding day, having at our side our beloved ones, those who really care about us, and making a wedding simple and alternative, just as we had imagined it to be, far away from the fashion of a glamorous and luxurious wedding.
As we both adore sea, we choose a tiny church situated on the edge of a coastal settlement in the Athens suburbs with a breathtaking sea view and a lovely garden! Everything there look like to be on an island... So, the colors of the wedding couldn't be other than the color of sand, white which reminds purity and of course Cyclades and finally touches of yellow as the sun in the Greek summer!

San Giorgio Mykonos Hotel

San Giorgio Mykonos is a member of the Design Hotels that represents the most beautiful, original and luxurious hotels of the world... It is about a small paradise where you can spend your holidays relaxing in its wonderful spaces which reminds more a friend's summer house than a hotel.
It is constructed according Cycladic architecture and decorated in a Bohemian Chic style in order to make the visitor feel like home...
White washed walls help sun rays brighten the internal spaces of the hotel and give the impression of freedom and freshness. I like so much the white built in beds and sofas covered with crispy linens and pillows embroidered with colored traditional motifs which give a vivid touch to the rooms! Ethereal mosquito nets enfold beds in order to protect you from the insects and offer a more romantic atmosphere while Moroccan decorative items give an exotic touch...

A basil pot on my table

Well, this is my brand new basil pot, gift from our nephew's christening!!! It was decorating the table in the reception... From now on it will prettify my balcony's table standing near my beloved pot of succulents and that small pot of tiny ivy, giving us its wonderful fragrances every day! Thank you Elen for the gift!!!

Summer Adventures II

These few days we spent in Naxos were enough to understand the beauty of this unique island... Unfortunately, we didn't have so much time to do everything we want, but with a proper management of our time, we achieved a lot! Firstly, sightseeing the amazing old town, then discover some mountain villages* and of course delight those wonderful beaches with the  turquoise crystal waters which lie behind the amazing sand dunes with the white sand... Ohh, it was an unforgettable week! It is a blessing to be in such wonderful places, swimming on those 'tropical', cold waters, sunbathing under the hot sun while the light breeze of the Aegean refresh your body.

Mantri Cottage

Set in a serene landscape on the quiet southeast side of the island, Mantri Cottage enjoys a privileged location between two of Serifo's most attractive beaches... Lia and Agios Sostis!
Constructed by the local stone without the use of plaster  in its exterior, has the advantage to be harmonized with its surroundings, while the blue color of the openings remind us the blue color of the Greek sky. In the interior, the traditional character of the house is stronger, as there is the addition of a lot of everyday objects of another era combined with some contemporary accents.

Summer Adventures

Last week of July we left Athens in order to spend some days in the biggest island of Cyclades... Naxos is an island that wins you over at first glance! While you enter the port, you can admire Portara, which stands at the islet of Vakhos, the temple which was never completed. Then the Venetian Castle which stands at the highest part of Chora and waiting for the visitors to walk in its narrow alleys, discovering its long history since 1207 and gazing at its Venetian mansions with their fabulous coats of arms! I really could imagine myself staying and working there from spring to autumn each year, as it is a place which inspires everyone and offers serenity and tranquility! Not by chance so many artists staying and create in this wonderful island!!!

Folder Bedroom: Moroccan Style

I like so much modern bedrooms inspired by Moroccan style...
Lovely patterned floors, vivid warm colors in linens and patterned throws bring you totally thoughts of Marrakesh!!! A room that really helps you make a mind trip to exotic destinations...
